FSSAI issues guidelines for FCM-rPET

On 23 May 2025, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a Gazette notification detailing the guidelines for food-grade recycled polyethene terephthalate (rPET) used in food contact materials (FCMs). These guidelines aim to ensure that rPET packaging is both safe for consumers and compliant with national and international standards.
