As the Indian packaging market shifts toward premiumisation, Delhi-based Khyati Traders has entered a partnership with Zhejiang Jinbao Machinery. While screen printing technology is a staple in the industry, the specific application of inline foiling and cast-and-cure UV effects has recently emerged as a key differentiator for manufacturers looking to move beyond standard spot UV and basic printing.

Jinbao’s JB-106C system, a centrepiece of the Khyati Traders portfolio, is engineered for industrial-scale reliability. It provides a suite of finishing options, including matt, gloss, and speciality varnishes, all achievable through a single screen-printing process. This versatility is critical for high-growth segments such as luxury wedding cards, premium cosmetics, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors like sweets and confectionery, where visual attraction is paramount.

At the core of the machine’s value proposition is its ability to deliver a premium, high-gloss finish that rivals expensive digital processes. By incorporating laser patterns and cast-and-cure technology, the system creates a multi-dimensional effect that enhances brand value. Unlike smaller, entry-level machines, this is an industrial-grade solution built with a high-accuracy servo-control system to maintain consistency over long production runs.

The technical precision of the JB-106C is anchored by its servo-driven, fully automatic stop cylinder architecture. The system is designed for high-performance substrate handling, typically processing materials ranging from 90 gsm to 500 gsm. This makes the system equally adept at processing light papers for wedding stationery and heavy boards for pharmaceutical mono-cartons.

It offers a flexible production speed, peaking at 4,500 impressions per hour (iph). For specialised UV curing and intricate foiling jobs, operators can modulate the speed between 2,000 and 4,500 iph to ensure perfect registration and curing depth. While the output is more specialised than traditional hot foiling, its all-in-one capability offers an agile choice for handling diverse job profiles within a single machine.

A key differentiator for the Jinbao range is its manufacturing pedigree. The company maintains a self-reliant production model, manufacturing 95% of its components in-house using advanced computer numerical control (CNC) infrastructure. This vertical integration — supported by Khyati Traders’ local service and spare parts support — ensures that maintenance and wear-and-tear issues are sorted quickly, maintaining high overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

The machine’s effectiveness is already proven across an elite Indian client base, including industry leaders such as Haldiram, Kesaram, and Darshan Pixel.
