Anuga FoodTec India 2025, held from 20 to 22 August at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai showcased the latest innovations shaping the food and beverage industry. The event brought together leading companies that are pushing the boundaries of technology, sustainability, and efficiency in packaging and processing.
Advancing automation and efficiency
The exhibition floor buzzed with a shared focus on automation designed to boost production and minimise downtime. SS Pro filling system exhibited their Four Head Volumetric Liquid Filling Machine, designed for the food and beverage industry. The machine is a volumetric filler that prioritizes precision, efficiency, and reliability. The company highlighted its key features, including high accuracy, adaptability for various container sizes, a user-friendly interface, and the ability to handle high-speed production with minimal downtime.
In the realm of bagging and packaging, Payper Bagging India showcased its innovative CSA Auto Bag Placer alongside advanced bagging and palletizing solutions. This reflects a growing demand for smart, automated systems that increase efficiency and reduce manual labour.
Mamata Machinery presented their VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) and HFFS (Horizontal Form Fill Seal) Machines. Their exhibition focused on a full range of packaging solutions, including multilane sachet packaging, pick-fill-seal systems, and secondary packaging machinery. Its VFFS machine, which can handle recyclable films and achieve high-speed output of up to 220 packs per minute, underscoring the industry's shift towards sustainable, high-performance machinery. The company also highlighted their VFFS machine with secondary packaging capabilities.
Precision and sustainability in focus
Beyond filling and bagging, the event underscored the critical role of precision and sustainability in modern manufacturing. Forbes Bradma Optimark showcased its advanced laser machines, highlighting the future of marking technology. These machines offer unparalleled accuracy and efficiency while aligning with sustainable practices, a key consideration for today's eco-conscious consumers.
Veripack Solutions India and the Indian branch of Veripack srl, ILPRA Group and the group companies ILPRA, Pentavac, Gelmini Macchine and Twrap showcased a variety of innovative and reliable food packaging solutions. A key highlight was their ILPRA FP1485 Tray Sealer, which they marketed as the "world's fastest" and noted that it is already in use by a major Indian food brand, Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale. This specific machine features advanced motion and servo control for critical operations like sealing and cutting.
From soil to soul: A broader perspective
Anuga FoodTec India was not just about machinery; it also served as a platform for deeper conversations about the origins of food and the importance of transparency. Tribe 91 Farms engaged with visitors who were genuinely curious about their ‘soil to soul’ journey. By highlighting their cold-pressed atta and traceable sourcing, they reinforced that modern food consumers value trust and transparency just as much as taste. These conversations challenged exhibitors to think beyond the product itself and consider the entire lifecycle, from cultivation to packaging.
