Alcobrew Distilleries India announced a redesign of White and Blue whiskey, combining a reworked bottle silhouette, new tactile label finishes and a refined liquid blend. The rollout launches in Uttar Pradesh, with a phased expansion across further regions to follow.
The structural redesign centres on a taller, more upright bottle profile with enhanced shoulder definition and a straight-sided form that replaces the previous tapered base. Embossed branding has been introduced across both the front and sides of the bottle, functioning as a mark of authenticity, while the label itself has been simplified around a new logo rendered with a velvet-touch finish.
Ashutosh Rajput, chief operating officer at Alcobrew, said the refresh was designed to sharpen the brand's appeal across both its existing consumer base and a new generation of whiskey drinkers. "The refresh modernises White and Blue's visual identity and taste profile," he said. "It is Alcobrew's first flagship brand in the semi-premium category that went on to become the fastest-growing millionaire brand within a short span of time. Conceived as a dream project by our founder and CMD, Romesh Pandita, the brand has always stood for bold vision and innovation. The new packaging and refined blend further reinforce our philosophy of innovation-led product development, enabling us to remain relevant to evolving market trends and consumer preferences."
Alongside the structural and graphic changes, Alcobrew has also reworked the liquid itself, aiming for a smoother opening note, a gentler warmth and a cleaner finish. The intention, the company says, is to deliver a taste profile that feels familiar to loyal drinkers while remaining approachable to those coming to the brand for the first time.
White and Blue launched in 2012 and has undergone several evolutions since, though Alcobrew describes the current iteration as its most elevated packaging expression to date. The brand sits within the semi-premium whiskey segment and forms the centrepiece of a portfolio that also includes the Golfer's Shot range, the One More vodka series and the recently launched Golden Circle Whiskey in the luxury tier.
Founded in 2002 by Romesh Pandita, Alcobrew operates two owned manufacturing facilities in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, alongside tie-up units in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. In 2022 the company commissioned a malt distillery in Gamber Valley, Solan, with an annual capacity of 900,000-litres of malt spirit, a move it describes as central to its broader premiumisation ambitions.
