Ankit Kumar of Alpla noted that the company continues to expand its footprint across India through high-precision manufacturing of PET and HDPE containers and closures. Alpla, globally known for rigid packaging, operates multiple plants in India supplying to large FMCG and beverage companies, including those in dairy, personal care and food categories.
Kumar said the company’s capabilities include ISBM (injection stretch blow moulding) for PET bottles and extrusion blow moulding for HDPE formats, supported by in-house mould design and tooling. The company also offers finishing, caps and closures designed to match bottle specifications for improved sealing and handling.
At the show, the Alpla booth drew interest from beverage start-ups exploring lighter-weight PET bottles and functional shapes. Of particular interest were the fully recyclable PET bottles for the alco-bev industry, which look like glass bottles. Kumar pointed out that while the company largely serves major FMCG businesses, it is also seeing enquiries from emerging brands looking to scale.
He added that PackMach and drinktec India served as a useful platform to demonstrate Alpla’s breadth in rigid packaging, with customers particularly interested in consistent quality, reliable supply, and the company’s ability to support long-term expansion.
