At Anuga FoodTec India, Sneha Sharma, marketing & inside sales manager at Mespack, discussed the company’s first India-manufactured rotary machine, the RM-260, built in Gujarat. The machine was launched in July 2024 and has already found traction both in India and abroad, with exports even reaching the United States within ten months.

The RM-260 targets food foremost (rice, sugar, granules, liquids) with compact footprint, automatic operation and a five-minute changeover, cutting manpower and downtime. While the brand does not compete on price, Sharma said local manufacturing avoids import duties and broadens access for Indian SMEs.

Sharma stressed that Mespack does not compete on price but on technology, quality, and service support. The company has over 500 machines installed in India, with customers including Nestle, Reckitt, Aurobindo, and Unilever, supported by a strong local service network.

She also revealed that Mespack’s parent company, Duravant, is planning to expand beyond packaging into food processing solutions, aiming to provide end-to-end lines for products such as poultry, potato, and tomato processing. While the show’s first day was slow, Sharma noted improved activity on the second day and expected further traction.
