Bisleri International's Bottles For Change inks MoU with EcoLine Clothing

Bisleri International and EcoLine Clothing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to convert used PET bottles into fashion and lifestyle products. The collaboration will see Bisleri’s Bottles For Change initiative recover plastic bottles, which EcoLine, a brand of Shree Renga Polyester, will then transform into items such as jackets, uniforms, and bags.

The MoU was formalised at Bisleri’s Mumbai headquarters by Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, and Sankar K, chairman of Shree Renga Polyester.

George commented on the partnership, stating, “Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues India faces today. At Bisleri, we believe managing plastic waste is not just an environmental responsibility but also an economic opportunity.” He added that the collaboration aims to “reimagine their potential by transforming them into sustainable fashion and lifestyle solutions.”

Sankar K highlighted the broader impact, saying, “This collaboration is a powerful example of how two mission-driven organisations can create environmental and social impact at scale.” He also noted EcoLine's commitment to making sustainability “visible, wearable, and affordable.”

EcoLine’s process utilises bottle-to-fabric technology, incorporating dope dyeing and nanotechnology. The partnership will also include consumer awareness campaigns and transparent impact reporting.
