Braskem is set to highlight its expanding portfolio of sustainable materials at Interpack 2026 in Dusseldorf, positioning itself as a key enabler of circular packaging across global value chains.

Exhibiting in Hall 9, Booth A32, the company will showcase packaging solutions made from bio-based, recycled and conventional polyolefins, reflecting a multi-pronged approach to achieving lower carbon emissions. The portfolio is designed as a “drop-in” solution, enabling converters and brand owners to transition toward circular materials without major changes to existing processing infrastructure.

A major focus will be on the company’s I’m green bio-based polyethylene range, which is being extended into food-contact, healthcare and hygiene applications for the first time. The new food-grade flexible packaging solution combines performance consistency with the carbon-capturing benefits of sugarcane-derived feedstock.

Braskem will also introduce Medcol V7040, a low-density polyethylene tailored for blow-fill-seal processes in healthcare packaging. The material meets stringent pharmaceutical standards while offering high flowability, stiffness and temperature resistance. Notably, it delivers a negative cradle-to-gate carbon footprint, reinforcing its sustainability credentials.

In flexible packaging, the company will present machine direction oriented (MDO) films produced from renewable feedstock. These films support mono-material structures that enhance recyclability while maintaining mechanical strength and visual appeal across food and personal care applications.

On the polypropylene front, Braskem will showcase its Inspire polymer range for rigid food packaging formats such as cups and thermoformed trays, alongside Medcol V4020 resin for medical applications including IV bottles and ampoules.

“Today’s packaging challenges require pragmatic solutions,” said Walmir Soller, vice president for North America, Europe and Asia, highlighting the need to balance performance, scalability and sustainability.

Braskem will also participate in technical sessions at the show’s Spotlight Forum, underscoring its commitment to advancing circular plastics innovation.
