EPL Limited, a global leader in the packaging industry, has been recognised for its commitment to environmental, social, and ethical performance after securing the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum rating. This assessment places EPL among the top 1% of all 150,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide for sustainable business practices.
The Platinum rating reflects the company’s performance across four pillars of the EcoVadis methodology, including environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Commenting on the achievement, Anand Kripalu, CEO and global managing director, highlighted, “At EPL, sustainability is not just part of our strategy—it is the foundation of who we are and how we grow.” He added, “We are shaping a future that is faster in execution, smarter in innovation, and greener in impact.”
The ranking validates EPL’s tangible progress towards its goals. On the environmental front, the company achieved 38% recyclable tube sales in FY 2025, moving toward a target of 65% by 2030. Further resource efficiency is evident in the 50% water recycled across global plants and the recycling of 1,253-metric tonnes (MT) of waste through post-industrial processes. EPL’s commitment to waste reduction is highlighted by achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification for all Indian sites. Additionally, the company has delivered an 11% reduction in Scope 3 emissions compared to its baseline.
Under the Labour and Human Rights pillar, the company reported a workforce comprising 30% women and employees representing over 25 nationalities globally. This commitment is further solidified by the employment of 125 people with disabilities worldwide.
This ranking serves to reinforce EPL’s position as a preferred partner for international brands that increasingly prioritise supply chain transparency and verifiable sustainable development.
