Hi-Tech Inks produces over 25,000 MT of solvent-based inks annually, catering to the entire flexible packaging spectrum. The addition of the Novaflow dispenser, part of the Corob (Graco Group), signifies a major step in their continuous drive for technological modernization and operational excellence.

Dipankar Bhattacharjee, the head of sales for Novaflow Systems (Corob Graco) in India, has been instrumental in expanding the adoption of automated dispensing systems by educating the market on technology benefits, highlighting rapid ROI, and fostering alliances with major packaging converters and ink producers. Corob's manufacturing presence in India ensures local support and fast delivery.

Bhattacharjee said, "The Novaflow dispenser is a high-accuracy, automated weight-based dispensing system designed for hazardous environments. It is electrically grounded and built to work in a wide variety of hazardous environments including FM Class 1, Div1, ATEX Zone 1/21, and IECx, ensuring safety and compliance."

A key advantage of Novaflow's system is its proprietary software, allowing for customized programming and seamless integration with existing ERP and MRP systems. This enables the dispenser to act as a slave to corporate instructions, receiving batch manufacturing requests and accurately sending back real-time batch results, including individual components. Furthermore, the "self-learning" feature of the Novaflow dispensing software continuously improves dispensing speed and precision.

Under the leadership of managing director Mr. Karan Mahajan, Hi-Tech Inks has achieved a CAGR exceeding 20% in recent years, prioritising quality, customer-centricity, and sustainable practices. The Vapi plant is renowned for its state-of-the-art automation, R&D centres, and commitment to environmentally responsible production.

Novaflow Systems specialises in high-precision, gravimetric ink dispensing systems. Their solutions, such as the Novaflow N50 Ink Dispensing System and the advanced modular Nova+ Model, are crucial for efficient and scalable batch manufacturing. These systems offer cost-efficiency, low wastage, faster color matching, and high repeatability, along with features like cloud connectivity and spectrophotometric integration for remote monitoring and stringent quality control.

Today, the Indian ink market, valued at USD 1.2 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 1.8 billion by 2033, is experiencing growth driven by the expansion of packaging, textiles, and publishing industries, rising e-commerce demand for specialty inks, and the advent of digital printing. With increasing regulatory and consumer focus on sustainability the global shift is towards more eco-friendly solutions.

The partnership between Novaflow Systems and Indian firms like Hi-Tech Inks is making batch production more precise, reducing lead times, and improving sustainability by minimising VOC exposure and material waste. As per Dipankar Bhattacharjee, "This collaboration exemplifies India's ink manufacturing sector's transition into a global powerhouse, propelled by strategic Make in India reforms, ambitious industry leaders, and technological partners. With continued investment in technology, eco-friendly solutions, and proactive collaborations, India is well-positioned to become a preferred global sourcing hub for printing inks."
