Gable Top Pak participated at the show with its plastic-free, carton-based water packaging, positioned as an eco-friendly, premium alternative to PET and glass. The company packages natural mineral water in gable-top cartons that maintain water temperature more effectively than plastic when exposed to sunlight. Raj Dedhia, sales and marketing head, explained that conventional PET bottles can release microplastics when heated, whereas the carton format eliminates this risk, extending both safety and sustainability benefits for consumers.

The company currently markets its own brands, Boxed Aqua and Kevla Niru, distributing across India. In addition to its branded products, Gable Top Pak provides a white-labelling service for restaurants, cafes, institutions and emerging beverage brands that want customised, sustainable water packaging. With recent Food Safety and Standards (FSS) regulations recognising carton formats for water as compliant and suitable for commercial service, interest from the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) and premium retail segments has increased.
This is the company’s first time exhibiting at an industry event. The team noted that pre-event outreach had already generated enquiries and early leads. They believe that the industry’s accelerating sustainability focus will drive adoption, particularly as consumers and suppliers seek alternatives to plastic and as brands evaluate replacements for glass bottles, which can be fragile and inconvenient for transport.
The team said their primary goal at PackMach Asia Expo and drinktec India is to build a wider distribution network and connect with partners who can support national-scale access for the new format. Confident in the long-term potential of carton-packaged water, they expect uptake to grow steadily over the next few years.
