GLS Group exhibits liquid carton and barrier film integration

Integrated manufacturing and substrate control served as the focal point for GLS Group as it presented its latest flexible and liquid packaging solutions at Interpack 2026. The company utilised the Dusseldorf platform to demonstrate how its control over the production of BOPET and BOPP films, inks, and adhesives provides a stable supply chain for global food, beverage, and pharmaceutical brand owners.

The technical display highlighted the group’s liquid carton division, which produced aseptic packaging for the dairy and beverage sectors. This segment focused on the precision required in multi-layer lamination for long-shelf-life products, with the firm sharing details on its ability to manage the conversion cycle from base substrate to finished material.

To address the push for circularity, the firm showcased mono-material laminates designed to replace traditional multi-polymer structures for easier recycling. The group also displayed high-speed laminates and various pouch formats that incorporated high-performance barrier layers to maintain product integrity. These developments were positioned as a benchmark for the company’s ongoing expansion into the European and North American markets.
