Guala Closures has announced an agreement to acquire the metal closures division of Oricon Enterprises. The deal, made through its subsidiary in India, covers the crown cork and ROPP closures operations. Oricon Enterprises’ packaging division, Oriental Containers, supplies closure solutions to customers in more than 20 countries. The division's revenue was EUR 12-million in the 12 months to March 2025.
The company will also expand its aluminium closure range for the Indian spirits market. This will include locally manufactured ROPP closures and anti-counterfeiting solutions. This move will significantly strengthen Guala Closures’ industrial and commercial presence in India while further extending its reach throughout the broader Asia-Pacific region.
The transaction is subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The company expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Guala Closures has operated in India since 1994, focusing on plastic safety closures. The acquisition expands its market potential in the country. This step in the development of the company's crown closures division, launched in 2024, establishes local production capabilities in India.
