HCCB launches Kinley water production line in Telangana

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB)’s installation marks a technical milestone for the Coca-Cola India Southwest Asia (INSWA) system, establishing the line as the fastest of its kind within the regional network.

The Avinya plant, a Greenfield project spanning 49-acres, represents a planned investment exceeding INR 2,000-crore. With the addition of this new line, the facility now operates seven advanced production lines. The site in Telangana complements HCCB’s established operations in Ameenpur and collectively employs over 1,000 individuals across the state.

The facility is capable of producing 500-ml PET bottles at a rate of 1,350 bottles per minute (BPM), while 1-litre bottles can be processed at 1,000 BPM. This capacity is managed through an integrated automation framework and a centralised human-machine interface (HMI), which provides real-time operational visibility and reduces manual intervention in process control.

Sustainability features are integrated directly into the production architecture. The line utilises a water purification system featuring mineral injection and ozonisation, paired with advanced lamella pack technology. This recovery system allows for up to 90% water recovery, a key component of the company’s resource management strategy. 

Furthermore, the line is equipped with energy-optimised hardware designed to minimise downtime during product changeovers and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the bottling process.
