Java Paper has entered into a partnership with Germany-based Koehler Paper to launch a new range of premium recycled papers and paperboards in India. Sourced from Koehler’s Greiz mill, the Eco range comprises carbon-free, lightfast grades that are resistant to colour migration, bleeding, and surface abrasion. These characteristics make the papers suitable for high-end packaging and durable printed products.
Manufactured entirely from 100% secondary fibres and certified as FSC Recycled, the Eco range offers a sustainable alternative for rigid box and folding carton applications. Despite being made from recycled content, the papers are designed to match the performance of virgin grades.
The Eco range is available in grammages of 120, 270, and 350-gsm, and is offered in black, white, and a selection of premium colours. It is intended for use in luxury packaging, fine stationery, and high-end branding.
Sagar Java, sales director, Java Paper, said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to promoting circularity in the paper industry. “Paper is a successful example of circular value creation. Our partnership with Koehler Paper highlights this, especially through our representation of NexFlex, their recyclable flexible packaging paper. With the introduction of Eco, we aim to demonstrate the full lifecycle of this material, how it can be repurposed into premium recycled paper for use in luxury graphics and packaging. This partnership not only reinforces our long-standing relationship with Koehler but also supports our goal of enabling a circular packaging economy.”
