The Plastics Recycling Show India (PRSI) is gearing up for its second edition, scheduled for 13-15 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, Mumbai. The event aims to become a critical fixture for the Indian printing and packaging industries as they navigate sustainability mandates. The show will address the challenges faced by converters under the country's stringent Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations and the surging demand for recycled content.

PRSI 2025 will host over 90 exhibitors, including several global machinery and technology providers, alongside major Indian recyclers. These companies are set to showcase innovations that allow packaging printers and converters to effectively integrate recycled content (rPET, rHDPE, rPP) into their products. Key international exhibitors include EREMA (Austria), the world market leader in plastics recycling systems; TOMRA Sorting GmbH (Norway/Germany), renowned for sensor-based sorting technologies; and Coperion GmbH (Germany), specialising in compounding and extrusion systems.

The conference will feature experts from across the value chain, focusing on legislative compliance, market trends, and technological adoption. Attendees will gain actionable knowledge from speakers like Ton Emans, president, Plastics Recyclers Europe; Debasish Mandal, head of packaging predevelopment and sustainability, Beiersdorf; and Bharat Mehta, vice president, PET marketing, Reliance Industries. Prominent Indian companies driving the circular economy will also be present, such as Ganesha Ecopet and Ganesha EcoSphere, major players in the Indian recycling space; Srichakra Polyplast and Dalmia Polypro, leading Indian recyclers providing quality recycled materials; and Ishitva Robotics Systems, showcasing indigenous automated sorting solutions.

The interest from companies like UFlex, Dalmia Polypro, GMS Plastics Machinery, KBM Plastic Machinery, and Packem Umasree underscores the urgency for sustainable material solutions being presented at the show.

The panel discussions for the print and packaging industry include ‘Regulatory Roadblocks or Opportunities? The changing landscape of the Indian plastics industry and ‘Perspectives on EPR implementation: A closer look at compliance, costs and enforcement,’ the latter being moderated by Shailendra Singh, founder and CEO of SustainMantra. Crucially, the session ‘Reimagining Food Packaging: Examining the recent trends and developments in the sector’ will focus on the area of food-grade recycled plastics.

At the event, converters and print house management can acquire the technology and knowledge necessary to future-proof their operations and meet increasing brand and regulatory demands for plastic circularity.
