The company’s annual BOPP film capacity stands at 60,000 tons per annum. It also provides value-added operations on the base films with its in-house metallisation and in-line coating.
Brückner’s two lines already being run at Nahar consist of a five-layer BOPP line with an inline coating facility. With this, the company was able to churn out products such as white cavitated and pigmented films for packaging, high barrier films for snack food packaging and labelling films.
Talking about the new investment, Johann Kreilinger, head of sales Middle East, subcontinent and Africa at Brückner Maschinenbau, said, “We value our long-standing and close relationship with Nahar. With this new investment, we are strengthening the partnership between our two companies and taking the next step together with Nahar.”
Brückner Maschinenbau’s unique 10.4m technology not only stands for high output, it is also characterised by minimised operating costs per unit output, reduced specific energy consumption and therefore an improved overall profitability.
Nahar Poly Films focusses on BOPP films–supplying a range of standard and specialty films to packaging film manufacturers and F&B brands across the globe.
The investment aligns with trends in the packaging industry such as innovation, growth and adoption of high-capacity lines. Started as a diversification project in 2011, Nahar Poly Films today is one of the most preferred suppliers of flexible packaging films in India.
Nahar has focussed on BOPP Films as a segment and has carved a niche for itself supplying a range of standard and speciality films to packaging film manufacturers and F&B brands across the globe.
