Parksons Packaging has announced a collaboration with Becquer Energy, an industrial solar technology company, to equip five of its factories across India with solar power. This initiative aims to reduce operational costs and enhance manufacturing competitiveness.
Becquer Energy will deploy advanced modules and cleaning technology for the installations. The integrated hardware, designed and manufactured by Becquer, is intended to offer cost-effectiveness, durability, and minimal downtime.
Becquer is expanding its heterojunction (HJT) technology, which has achieved a peak core cell efficiency of 26.3%. The company is developing infrastructure to lower solar hardware costs globally.
Recently, it commissioned India's first industrial solar facade for a home textile brand. This facade integrates solar technology into building materials, contributing to electricity generation while reducing internal building temperatures and air conditioning expenses.
Major industrial brands in India, including those in automotive, steel, cement, engineering, and FMCG sectors, are reportedly utilising Becquer's solar hardware for captive power and sustainability initiatives. The collaboration between Parksons Packaging and Becquer Energy highlights a trend towards renewable energy adoption within the Indian manufacturing sector.
