PouchWale showcased its specialised flexible packaging solutions at CMPL 2026 in Mumbai, focusing on tactile finishes and lower minimum order quantities for emerging food brands.
The manufacturer demonstrated a range of decorative effects including glitter pouches, metallic finishes, and a specialised "sand touch" texture that provided a tactile contrast to standard gloss and smooth finishes. A sales executive from PouchWale stated that these premium effects were aimed at brands seeking shelf differentiation in the competitive food sector.
The company’s portfolio served various applications, including labels for personal care brand Nivea and specialized pouches for food products such as paneer. Regarding production volumes, the executive noted that the company utilised hybrid LED technology to cater to clients requiring smaller quantities.
The minimum order quantities for standard pouches were determined by size, with 1-kg pouches requiring 4,000 to 5,000 units, while 250-g pouches were offered at a minimum of 10,000 to 12,000 units.
The company also displayed custom-contoured shapes, moving beyond traditional rectangular formats to include special-cut designs. While the manufacturer produced sustainable packaging options, the executive confirmed that the current demand from clients remained focused on aesthetic enhancements and specific barrier properties rather than biodegradable materials.
Addressing current market volatility, the executive reported that raw material shortages and rising oil prices had impacted production costs. These global supply chain factors led to a 30% increase in pricing for finished packaging. The executive attributed these hikes to the rising cost of oil-based components, including the dyes and coatings essential for high-quality printing.
