PrintWeek is set to host its highly anticipated Awards Celebration on 13 October (Monday), a momentous occasion that marks a significant departure from its traditional format. This year's event, themed "Celebration," aims to honour the remarkable achievements and brightest minds within the print, publishing, and packaging industries. Consider it our departure from printing on RGB to CMYK: the same clarity and sharpness, but in a richer, more vibrant format.

The Awards Celebration will begin at 4PM  IST and promises to be a vibrant gathering, bringing together industry icons and innovators. This year, the event will be a bit of a departure from the traditional formal sit-down seven-course dinner, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for all attendees.

Ashish Bhushan, the country head of Haymarket Media India said, "We are privileged to be hosting the PrintWeek Awards for the past 15 years. This year, based on feedback from our partners and supporters in the industry, we are tweaking the rules. " Bhushan added, "Under the new rules we'll tap the expertise and experience in the industry and have three knowledge modules for the benefit of the VIP delegates who attend the show."

And so, other than the Awards, the three modules include the Women to Watch Award which will feature four winners from the 2025 edition. All About Books which will feature a distinguished panel including Priya Singh of Hachette, Ajay Joshi of Penguin Random House, and Dr Amit Sharma of HarperCollins; and finally there will be a panel discussion with The Brands Speak where packaging heads will discuss the challenges and opportunities for the industry.

The 32 Awards in three categories — 10 Performance Awards, 19 Quality Awards, and three Special Industry Awards.  themselves will unfold in three instalments spread across the evening. This will be followed by the special unveiling of the Book of the Night by PrintWeek’s Company of the Year, wrapping up the evening in true print-style, along with a gala dinner and networking.

The year's awards will honour winners from 100 print and packaging companies. The PrintWeek shortlist was selected from 307 entries submitted by more than 100 companies. There are 32 coveted awards

A 31-member jury, comprising doyens from the printing, publishing, and packaging industry, evaluated the entries in an intensive process spread over three days from 9 to 12 September. Day One spotlighted book printing, highlighting innovations in binding, lighter textbooks, and multi-coloured edge trims. Day Two focused on digital print, where judges praised how the technology now rivals gravure and litho, producing fine art, wedding albums, and creative short runs. Day Three centred on packaging and labels, underlining sustainability, premiumisation, and storytelling potential.

The PrintWeek Awards are co-presented by: Bindwel, Canon, Heidelberg, NBG, Pidilite Industrial Adhesives, Sigloch.
