The rotary type vertical injection moulding machine is used for items such as toothbrushes, handles, and knives. The machine is equipped with a rotary table, and deploys one and a half moulds to reduce the idle time of the machine to zero seconds. By reducing the idle time, and time taken during placement and removal of components, the production can be increased.

Bhoomit Panchal said, “The application areas of the machine is wide and it caters majorly to the automobile sector for developing light-weight plastic parts which can replace the metal ones.” He demonstrated one of the impeller blade rolls that caught our attention; replacing metal. The roller and many such examples turned out to be serving the purpose of metals.

The machine is ideal for manufacturing plastic parts as a covering or in assembly with metal parts. It is a servo-operated table which provides multistage clamping control. Panchal said “It takes approximately 25 seconds to form a set of two plastic components; as the die includes two moulds. “

Swift also manufactures a two-colour turret type injection moulding machine which is used for moulds with two colours. The other types of vertical injection moulding machine include: fixed type, single slider type, double slider type, rotary type two colour machine and horizontal clamping type machines.

The company’s manufacturing plant is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The plant includes designing, engineering and manufacturing of all vertical injection moulding machines and components. Swift has a centralised service model where service engineers and support teams are located in Gujarat. It also has service members in major cities across India, thus, when a customer faces any issue, the service team will be there for assistance.
