Gopi Kalaria, director of marketing at SwissPac, detailed the company’s transition to recyclable materials, its global leadership in coffee packaging, and versatile printing technologies for various production scales.

SwissPac utilises fully recyclable materials for primary food packaging, such as tomato ketchup and detergent refill packs. Compostable materials are reserved for secondary packaging, such as apparel and gift items, due to shelf-life constraints that prevent their use as primary barriers.

With a manufacturing base in Gujarat and offices in six countries, SwissPac exports to over 70 nations and maintains a global speciality in coffee packaging. The company supplies major brands, including Starbucks and Third Wave Coffee, utilising flat-bottom pouches for premium products like coffee, protein powders, and cardamom. These formats are engineered for high-value goods that require durable packaging structures available in the flexible sector.

SwissPac operates three distinct printing technologies to meet varying production requirements, namely rotogravure, flexographic, and digital printing.
