FlexiTubes, the tube packaging division of UFlex, is set to display sustainable tube solutions built from USFDA-approved Post-Consumer Recyclate (PCR) at CMPL Expo 2025. CMPL Expo, a convention for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) contract manufacturing and private labels, will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from 9 to 11 July 2025.
FlexiTubes will feature PCR-based tube solutions, Greenika. The recycling method, which allows FlexiTubes to use recycled polyethylene (rPE) in packaging applications, has been certified by the USFDA. The recycling method will promote a circular economy and decrease plastic waste.
The raw material for Greenika is acquired internally through UFlex’s integrated recycling and manufacturing infrastructure, assuring supply reliability and a lower environmental impact.
FlexiTubes ensures that the PCR-based tubes maintain key packaging elements such as reverse rotogravure printing and decorative finishes. This ensures shelf appeal while implementing sustainable solutions.
The PCR-based tubes provide barrier qualities, product protection, and compliance with global regulatory and safety standards. In addition, the PCR-based tubes align with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) goals.
Along with Greenika, FlexiTubes will showcase sustainable tube formats such as Earthika, Kraftika, and Remika, each designed to address specific environmental goals such as recyclability, biodegradability, and reduced carbon footprint.
