ProductWatch: Kodak launches Prinergy 10.0

In July 2023, Kodak launched Version 10.0 of its Prinergy workflow software. It is an automation platform for printers, which eliminates manual touchpoints, improves productivity and efficiencies while reducing cost and waste.

Kodak said the return on investment for Prinergy is significant for customers who are looking for growth, flexibility and long-term value. Prinergy’s robust automation provides flexibility and scalability, delivering short- and long-term value to customers.

Prinergy's new version will benefit the Indian converters in the SME sector in terms of ease of operations, versatility and user friendliness. The workflow solutions target commercial print service providers of all sizes with smart automation and support for offset and digital printing processes.

Kodak believes the USP of Prinergy’s new version is its new Marks JTP (Job Ticket Processor) Pooling, which reduces processing bottlenecks and increases speed. Another advantage is enhanced efficiency and accuracy with PREPS SmartMarks placement.

Prinergy 10.0 also offers improved system stability, which is compatible with the Apple macOS 13 operating system. Now available in HTML5, Prinergy Setup leverages security with a new 64-bit plug-in for Adobe Acrobat Software, and allows the use of the HTTPS protocol in Kodak Prinergy Business Link software, which supports data communication between the Prinergy System and an MIS.

Implementation time varies depending on how it is used (cloud versus on-premise). Kodak Prinergy is user-friendly with training options based on individual needs.

Prinergy 10.0 is available at no additional cost to customers with a service contract or users of the cloud-based Kodak Prinergy with managed services.
