Anu Bhargava, the director (finance and admin)  of Premier Packaging has been a part of the packaging industry for the past 15 years. A month into the printing and packaging industry, she realised that our industry was the most unsystematic and chaotic workplace. This motivated her to envision a system driven organisation. She implemented quality management systems certified by ISO.

Priyata Raghavan, the director, Sai Packaging has been 18 years wearing different hats of sales, finance, operations, and many more. True to its vision, the company retained over 70% of the workforce for over a decade and 70% of its customers over the last three decades. Under Priyatas leadership, the company raised USD 8-million in 2022. It remains one of the few companies in India to be consistently certified as FSC. BRC and Sedex, year on year across cartons and labels.

Rupa Deshpande, proprietor of Bengaluru-based Geekay Print and Packaging followed the cash and carry model that made it financially healthy. It ensures delivery within 24 hours that is unmatched to the standard 5-7 business days. She made short run jobs easily accessible by getting the Japanese flexo machine that enabled shorter runs, reduced initial wastage by 25% and the cost of making the plates were 50% less.

Women encouraging women is the purest form of motivation one can see. Silpa Lingareddy, founder of Encase packaging sealed this for us. She managed to build a team of more than 100 women working together effortlessly.

A Nalani Wickramarathna, a strong believer of women empowerment has been advocating the same at Veepee Graphics. There has been an increase in the women workforce by 25%. She has promoted CSR activities at Veepee by supporting and feeding the needy families during the pandemic.

Ketaki Sute, sales and marketing manager at Jupiter Laminators has managed to grow her business from 100 MT to 700 MT in the last 1 year. Connections and relationships are the two important pillars for establishing trust and credibility in the market.
