Becker India, a key player in reliable vacuum and compressor technology, has announced the official opening of its new Assembly Unit in Pune. This milestone is a significant step in the company's strategy to deepen its engagement with India's dynamic packaging and processing industry, promising quicker lead times and stronger on-ground support for its growing customer base.
Since becoming a wholly owned subsidiary in 2022, Becker India has focused on understanding the needs of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and developing solutions that genuinely support their growth in printing, food processing, pharma, and packaging sectors. The new facility, designed to align with Becker's stringent global standards and staffed by trained engineering teams, naturally evolves this commitment by transitioning the company into local production.
The first product to roll out from the Pune unit is the VT 4.16 Vacuum Pump, now bearing the "Made in India" label. The VT 4.16 is renowned for its efficiency and dependability, with widespread use in primary packaging, vacuum conveying, pick-and-place systems, and printing applications. Local assembly will provide customers with enhanced product availability and a smoother service experience.
Becker views the assembly unit as more than just a product line expansion. It reflects the company’s long-term belief in India’s manufacturing potential and its commitment to contributing meaningfully to the country’s industrial ecosystem. The company affirmed, "We see this as the foundation for much more to come. Made in India. Built for the World."
