Dr Raghav Rao says, visitors can expect cutting-edge technologies at Asia Coat + Ink show

The 13th edition of the Asia Coat + Ink Show will transpire from 21 to 23 November 2024 at Nesco trade ground in Goregaon. In addition the All India Printing Inks Manufacturers Association (AIPIMA) will host the International Conference 2024 on 20 November at The Westin Mumbai Garden City.

Raghav Rao: Achieving sustainability entails easy recycling, mono packaging, and transitioning from plastic to paper

Dr Raghav Rao, president of AIPMA said, "The Asia Coat + Ink Show will showcase cutting-edge technologies," and it is a must-attend.

Rao said, "India's promising print and packaging market renders this event indispensable for industry stakeholders to stay abreast of the latest developments." he alluded to the theme, "Incredible Innovations Await" which he said "Underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability."

Rao pointed out that the show visitors can anticipate "cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, digital print advancements, and eco-friendly printing inks and coatings."

Rao said "The ink and coating industry is at an exciting crossroads. Regulatory compliance has become increasingly stringent, prompting organisations to foster confidence among converters and brand owners."

At the moment, AIPIMA collaborates closely with regulatory bodies like BIS and FSSAI on food packaging norms. Dr. Raghav added, "We have been organising seminars to educate stakeholders on safety and compliance."

He highlighted the importance of the ink conference on a day prior to the trade exhibition on 20 November at The Westin Mumbai Garden City in Goregaon.

On sustainability, Rao pointed out, "Achieving sustainability entails easy recycling, mono packaging, and transitioning from plastic to paper. For instance, PET/Poly structures can be converted to BOPP/BOPP or PE/PE, while PE coating can be replaced with sustainable alternatives in paper cups."
