Global packaging industry eyes Mumbai for ResPack 2026

The 5th International Conference on Responsible Packaging (ResPack) focuses on optimal design, innovative materials, and sustainable technology.

ResPack 2026 is expected to have over 400 participants

Following the success of its previous four editions, the 5th International Conference on Responsible Packaging is set to convene industry leaders, innovators, and academics in Mumbai. Organised by the Federation of Indian Packaging Science (FIPS) in association with the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh (NID, MP) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, the conference will be held at The Lalit on 1-2 June 2026. 

The 2026 edition will be centred on the themes of Optimal Design, Innovative Materials, and Sustainable Technology, reflecting the global shift towards greener, more efficient packaging solutions.

Two days of focused industry insight
ResPack is divided into two days to provide deep-dive knowledge into specific industry sectors. 

Day 1 will focus exclusively on responsible packaging of foods and beverages, while Day 2 will shift attention to responsible packaging of healthcare, personal, beauty care products and industrial goods.

The two-day agenda will feature an inaugural session, two keynote sessions and focus sessions, seven plenary sessions, and five panel discussions. Discussions will cover topics including innovative packaging materials, ancillary packaging materials, packaging machinery and printing technology, and advanced recycling technologies.

In addition, ResPack 2026 is set to feature a lineup of experts, with 34 plenary speakers sharing their insights and 30 brand owners participating as panellists, ensuring a blend of technical knowledge and practical industry experience.

FISPA 2026 coincides with ResPack
The third edition of the Foundation of Innovative Packaging and Sustainability (FISPA) will be held concurrently with ResPack. The award aims to recognise and celebrate creativity in package design, innovative materials, and sustainable technology. The organisers are expecting to receive approximately 250 entries from packaging material converters, brand owners, and package printers.

Industry participation expected
ResPack, a gathering for the entire packaging ecosystem, is expected to have 30 packaging industry companies as partners and over 400 participants. 

The audience will comprise a diverse group, including packaging raw material manufacturers, converters, machinery manufacturers, plastics packaging recyclers, brand owners, and academicians, making it the ideal platform for networking, learning, and forging new partnerships in the responsible packaging movement.
