Ahmedabad-based packaging manufacturer Knack Packaging will open its INR 440-crore initial public offering (IPO) on 1 July, becoming the first mainboard IPO of the month. The issue will close on 3 July, with a price band of INR 161–170 per share.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of INR 380-crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 35 lakh equity shares by existing shareholders. At the upper end of the price band, the issue is expected to raise approximately INR 439.5-crore and value the company at around INR 2,080-crore.

Knack Packaging manufactures printed and laminated woven polypropylene (PLWPP) bags and pinch-bottom bags used across sectors such as food, pet food, agriculture, chemicals, fertilisers, construction materials and industrial products. The company is among the larger players in the woven polypropylene packaging segment and has built its business around customised, high-strength industrial packaging solutions.

According to its financial disclosures, Knack Packaging reported revenue of INR 747.4-crore in FY25, compared with INR 659-crore in FY24. Net profit increased from INR 46-crore to INR 73.8-crore during the same period, reflecting strong growth in both topline and profitability.

The company had initially filed draft papers with market regulator Sebi in 2025, proposing a fresh issue of INR 475-crore and an OFS of 70-lakh shares. The final issue size has since been revised.

The IPO comes at a time when India's packaging sector continues to attract investor interest, driven by growth in food processing, agriculture, chemicals and industrial manufacturing, all of which are major consumers of woven polypropylene packaging products.
