Juzar Vora, sales manager at Maselli India, provided insights into the company’s offerings and future outlook

Team WhatPackaging? spoke to Juzar Vora, sales manager at Maselli India, who provided insights into the company’s offerings and future outlook.

Maselli India specialises in process instrumentation manufacturing, which involves producing equipment that measures crucial parameters in liquid processes. The company was exhibiting its laboratory table-top instruments — essential for quality checks in the lab setting.

The instruments, Vora explained, are essential for measuring vital parameters in beverages, encompassing both carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and non-carbonated varieties. Key measurements include Brix for the measurement of the sugar content in a drink, along with carbon dioxide and oxygen levels for carbonated beverages.

Vora highlighted a significant new reference point in industry quality parameters: Total Packaged Oxygen (TPO). He remarked, “TPO is measured in a bottle or in a can, where the entire dissolved oxygen plus the oxygen which is in the space is measured and given out as a quality parameter.” He confirmed that Maselli has integrated new sensors into its systems to measure TPO, dissolved oxygen (DO), and other parameters.

Vora noted, “Maselli Misura is a 75-year-old company. We have been innovating throughout.” He expressed the company’s expectation for the show, hoping customers and new market players would come to see the “new things which have come into the market” and recognise Maselli as a major global manufacturer of this technology.
