For years, Mespack India has offered industrial packaging solutions featuring a range of packaging machines, including primary and secondary packaging machinery and end-of-line packaging solutions.
As part of its parent company’s global strategy, Mespack India will now be known as Duravant India. The company will continue to offer the same packaging solutions, services, and support under the Mespack brand. The company is expanding its portfolio to include Duravant’s global brands in food sorting and handling, protein processing, material handling, and advanced packaging technologies, thus increasing the value chain.
Duravant, providing engineered equipment and automation solutions for the food processing, packaging, and material handling sectors, is investing in localised engineering, service, and resources in India to be closer to the needs and demands of Indian consumers.
Duravant's investment in India is part of its broader goal to establish local infrastructure in key geographies. With two operational hubs in Thane and Vadodara, Duravant India is positioned to offer dedicated sales, technical assistance, and after-sales support tailored to the unique needs of the Indian market. These capabilities enable faster response times, closer customer collaboration, and seamless delivery of end-to-end automation solutions.
Petros Diamantides, group president of emerging markets, Duravant, said, “Growing our footprint in India marks a pivotal move in our commitment to deliver exceptional support across one of the world's fastest-growing regions.” He added, “This expansion ensures our customers gain quicker access to critical spare parts and expert technical services through the Duravant Lifecycle Services network.”
Diamantides remarked, “For over 15 years, we have maintained a strong local presence in India through a dedicated team from Mespack, a Duravant company.” He continued, “Now, expanding our reach to offer solutions across the full Duravant portfolio is a game-changer for operators seeking advanced technologies in protein processing, food sorting and handling, packaging, and material handling. It is a significant step towards delivering even greater value to our customers across the region.|
Anthony D’souza, acting managing director, Duravant India, said, “India represents one of the world’s most dynamic industrial and consumer markets.” Emphasising the country’s strategic importance, D’souza cites rapid economic development and the adoption of automation across sectors such as food, agriculture, consumer goods and logistics.
“India’s manufacturing sector is evolving at an unprecedented pace, driven by rising consumer demand, increasing export opportunities, and a strong push for efficiency and safety. Businesses are turning to automation not just to scale operations, but to meet global standards, and they are looking to trusted partners like Duravant to deliver proven, high-performance solutions that can support their growth,” D’souza added.
Diamantides concluded, “We remain focused on investing and building strong local partnerships that enable us to provide unmatched value and service across every region we serve.”
Duravant India is one of Duravant’s five international locations where it has recently established operations, alongside Brazil, Mexico, China, and Thailand.
