The exhibition will span over 75,000 square metres across 20+ halls and is expected to attract over 600,000 business visitors. It will feature more than 2,000 exhibitors, including over 500 international exhibitors from 80+ participating countries, running for six plus days to highlight the latest in processing machinery, moulds and dies, raw materials, and finished products.
The event's theme, 'Bharat Next', is positioned as a global launchpad for next-gen technologies and new business collaborations, particularly in the key sectors of packaging, automotive, construction, and electronics. Ravish Kamath, president of the Plastindia Foundation, underscored the industry's significant growth. He emphasised India’s strong global standing, with exports already at USD 10.34-billion, and highlighted that North India, particularly Delhi-NCR, is a vital hub, accounting for 23% of the country's plastics consumption. Plastindia 2026 aims to capture this momentum while charting the course for a circular, sustainable economy.
Sustainability is a central commitment, with Alok Tibrewala, chairman of the National Executive Committee, Plastindia 2026, announcing that the event will be India’s first-ever plastics exhibition to operate on a zero-waste framework. This approach, fully aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission, will integrate advanced waste management and recycling initiatives to make the exhibition itself a model of circular economy practices. Beyond sustainability, the event will also focus on digital transformation. Exhibitors are set to demonstrate how AI-driven predictive maintenance, automated quality control systems, process optimisation, and smart supply chain management can significantly boost efficiency and productivity in plastics manufacturing.
The exhibition's strategy is comprehensive, integrating the 5Ts framework of talent, technology, tradition, trade, and tourism. This framework ensures the event is not just a trade fair but a holistic platform: it will provide a venue for young innovators, MSMEs, and startups (talent); feature cutting-edge advancements in sustainable plastics and digital transformation (technology); showcase India’s manufacturing legacy while offering extensive visitor facilities like free Wi-Fi and resting areas in the tradition of ‘Athithi Devo Bava’ (tradition); connect 6,00,000+ business visitors with global brands to drive exports and investments (trade); and, as the biggest exhibition ever hosted at Bharat Mandapam, promote Delhi as a global tourist and business hub (tourism). Ultimately, Plastindia 2026 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and global buyers to solidify India’s position as a responsible, innovative, and globally competitive plastics economy.
