Among the newer launches drawing attention at the stall was a custom cream packaging solution

Shripal R Patel, owner of Ocean's Deep Printers, spoke to WhatPackaging? at CMPL 2026, where the company was making its first-ever appearance at the show.

This was the first time the printer had taken a stall at the show. Built around the CMYK concept, the stand itself was designed in magenta, yellow and black, a nod to the language of print that set the tone for everything on display.

At the core of Ocean's Deep Printers offering is a rapid turnaround proposition that Patel is clearly proud of. "In any shape, on any paper, in any lamination, with foil, UV, cast and cure," Patel explained, emphasising that quality is not sacrificed in the process. The same speed applies to delivery, with the company able to fulfil orders within 24 hours.

Finishing and embellishment capabilities were featured, with cast and cure, Scottish foil and Scottish UV among the techniques the company has integrated across its product lines. With a team of 17 in-house artists handling design and dummy approval, Ocean's Deep Printers positions itself as a full-service operation capable of moving quickly from concept to production.

Among the newer launches drawing attention at the stall was a custom cream packaging solution, a format that Patel indicated is already finding traction with clients exploring gifting applications. One such client is planning to use the packaging for a Diwali lamp, with a seasonal concept applied to the design. Also on show for the first time was a ziplock bag format, which Patel said represents a first for the Indian market in this configuration.

Food packaging innovations were another highlight. The company presented a dummy concept that incorporates a built-in tray and spoon, offering an integrated and thoughtful approach to convenience packaging. Though still at the prototype stage, the concept drew considerable interest and illustrated the company's appetite for functionality-led design alongside its decorative strengths.

Patel was enthusiastic about the response the stall had received on its debut outing. "Most of our clients are also here, so we are also meeting, all in one place," he said, underlining the value the show holds as a platform for relationship-building as much as new business development. He was equally enthusiastic about returning in future years, and wasted little time in declaring his ambitions. "Next time we will bring an even bigger stall," he said. "We will do even bigger work."

For a first appearance, Ocean's Deep Printers has made its presence felt at CMPL 2026.
