At the show, the company will be introducing Duravant India and its four specialised business verticals for the first time. While Mespack has already established a strong presence in flexible packaging solutions, Duravant India will aim to bring together a wider range of offerings—covering everything from processing and sorting to end-of-line material handling.

India is rapidly progressing toward becoming the world’s second-largest economy, and the packaging and processing sectors are at the heart of this growth. We are witnessing strong trends in automation, sustainability, digital integration, and flexible packaging. The focus is shifting toward smarter, more efficient, and eco-friendly solutions. We are excited to contribute to this transformation by offering world-class technologies that support India’s evolving manufacturing landscape.

Anthony D’Souza, managing director, Duravant India spoke to the WhatPackaging? team before the show and expressed his positive sentiments towards the industry. He said, “India is rapidly progressing toward becoming the world’s second-largest economy, and the packaging and processing sectors are at the heart of this growth.”

He discerned some trends in the industry such as automation, sustainability, digital integration, and flexible packaging. He believes that the focus is shifting toward smarter, more efficient, and eco-friendly solutions.

He believes, “There is tremendous potential in food processing, sorting, handling, and logistics. Our goal is to provide customers with a comprehensive, end-to-end solution—from processing to packaging, and finally to material handling and distribution.”

“This year marks the launch phase, and by next year, we expect to see significant expansion — including strategic partnerships, new facilities, and potential mergers and acquisitions that will strengthen our market presence,” said D’Souza on the company’s participation.
Duravant has had positive feedback about the show from previous editions, and expects the same enthusiasm this year. He said, “Although we are not displaying any machines at the show, our excitement is higher than ever as we personally introduce the Duravant Group to the Indian audience.”

Previously known as Mespack India, it has offered industrial packaging solutions featuring a range of packaging machines, including primary and secondary packaging machinery and end-of-line packaging solutions. With this edition, the company is officially introducing the Duravant brand to the Indian market.

Now, with the launch of Duravant India, it aims to expand the focus beyond packaging to include four major verticals—protein processing, food sorting and handling, packaging automation, and material handling.
