The Plastics Recycling Show India (PRSI) 2025 is slated to return to Mumbai, offering the printing and packaging supply chain a look at the future of sustainable substrates and circular material management.
For packaging converters and printers, the show serves as a platform to understand technological advancements in recycled plastic polymers (rPET, rHDPE, etc) which are influencing substrate choice and pre-press considerations. The three-day exhibition will showcase the latest machinery, solutions, and technologies necessary to process post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste back into usable materials. Given the shift in brand owner mandates towards recycled content, particularly in flexible films and rigid containers, the intelligence gathered here will be crucial for business planning.
Running alongside the exhibition is a conference where international experts will address key themes essential to the circular economy. Discussions are set to cover regulatory landscapes, market challenges, investment opportunities, and the innovations required to bridge the gap in recycling complex materials like multi-layered and flexible plastics, a segment highly relevant to food and non-food packaging printing.
This focus comes at a time of significant domestic growth, with market research projecting the Indian recycled plastics sector to progress with a CAGR of 10.95% through 2032, reaching a revenue of over USD 3.8-billion.
The organisers, Crain GPG and Media Fusion, are positioning PRSI as the central meeting point where thought leaders, policy makers, innovators, and technology providers converge to promote a greener, more circular future for plastics.
