Siegwerk has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal again, a significant achievement that places the company in the top 6% of all companies assessed worldwide for sustainability. The company's score of 75 out of 100 points reflects a strong performance across key areas like environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The 94th percentile ranking means Siegwerk's performance is better than 94% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis. This impressive result puts them just shy of the prestigious Gold Medal, which starts at the 95th percentile. "The great performance in terms of percentile is a powerful testament to the effectiveness of our sustainability efforts," said Alina Marm, head of global sustainability and circular economy at Siegwerk. This demonstrates that the company's commitment to creating a truly sustainable business is on the right track.
A key driver for this year's improved score is the launch of Siegwerk's sustainable procurement programme, 'SustainUP.' This initiative aims to put the company's human rights policy and business partner code of conduct into action by helping suppliers reduce their environmental and human rights risks. The programme also has a tangible goal of helping to reduce the company's Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, a clear signal of its commitment to climate action.
Siegwerk's continuous progress in sustainability, from its global HorizonNOW agenda to its targeted programmes like 'SustainUP,' reinforces its position as a leader in the printing inks and coatings industry. This latest EcoVadis rating highlights a company that is not only dedicated to its business but also to its environmental and social responsibilities across its entire value chain.
