Cosmoprof to showcase innovative cosmetics packaging solution

The fourth edition of Cosmoprof India is set to transpire from 7 to 9 December 2023 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. With an expansive area of 15,000-sqm, the show expects a footfall of over 9,000 visitors and more than 450 exhibitors and brands.

At the show, a buyer programme will attract over 150 importers, distributors, and retailers from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and the GCC

A Towards Packaging study states that the cosmetic packaging market is estimated to grow from USD 33.07-billion in 2022 to USD 54.13-billion by 2032 at 4.5% CAGR. As the beauty market experiences an influx of new brands and products, the pursuit of innovation, efficient packaging solutions, and the desire for product differentiation are factors contributing to market expansion.

The increasing recognition of the exhibition among stakeholders is demonstrated by a 28% increase in new exhibitors compared to 2022. The 2022 edition recorded 300 exhibiting companies from 12 countries and 7,500 visitors from 50 countries.

Among many, a few brands that will exhibit at the show are Regi Laboratories, Streamline India, Beauty Garage, Ancorroti Cosmetics, BBlunt, WOW Science, Myntra, Enrich Beauty, and Tira Beauty.

Yogesh Mudras, managing director, Informa Markets India said, “The Indian cosmetics market is poised to reach USD 35.21-billion by 2028. This expo offers an expansive platform for brands to showcase their breakthroughs and success stories.”

"The Indian cosmetics market is witnessing a shift towards personalisation and a notable emphasis on sustainable and clean beauty practices. The influence of social media, the rise of indie brands (independent brands), and the integration of technology are reshaping consumer preferences and the industry landscape,” added Mudras.

Cosmoprof India to unveil new launches from finished product brands specialised in cosmetics and toiletries, beauty salons and SPA, natural and organic, nail and accessories, and hair salons. This segment constitutes 61% of the total exhibition area.

The co-located Cosmopack India showcases innovative solutions from ingredients and raw materials to the entire supply chain featuring primary packaging and private label and contract manufacturing as representative sectors on the show floor.

The show will comprise an acclaimed buyer programme, which is expected to bring in over 150 importers, distributors, and retailers from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and the GCC.

The exhibition proudly features the inclusion of five country pavilions including Australia, Korea, Italy, Taiwan and the UK. This is to foster networking among local and international governments and associations.

Cosmoprof and Cosmopack India Awards

The awards will celebrate the excellence and innovation of stakeholders in the beauty industry in India. This is in partnership with a global agency BeautyStreams.

More than 150 products have been submitted under five main categories involving both suppliers exhibiting in Cosmopack India and finished product brands of Cosmoprof India. 

Among all subscriptions, four finalists per category have been selected, which are particularly recognisable for innovative formulations, avant-garde ingredients, and user-friendly design.

An esteemed panel of experts and thought leaders from the cosmetics industry will evaluate the submissions of the Cosmoprof and Cosmopack Awards 2023. Jury members who have committed to participating in the December edition are key opinion leaders among international stakeholders.

Winners will be announced on 7 December during a gala event at the Hriday, Sofitel Mumbai BKC. Following, there will be a fashion show presenting the collection of the designer Vikram Phadnis, the special guest of the evening.
