Esko has confirmed its presence at Interpack 2026, where the company will debut a suite of artificial intelligence tools designed to help brands navigate the shift toward digital product passports and complex sustainability mandates.

The showcase will centre on the Esko S2 cloud platform, a centralised architecture developed to eliminate data silos between brand owners and converters.

The 2026 event serves as a launchpad for Comply, an automated solution that utilises AI to verify packaging artwork against international regulatory requirements. By integrating this technology into the existing ArtiosCAD and Studio workflows, Esko aims to automate the often manual process of checking ingredient lists, symbols, and legal copy.

Jan De Roeck, marketing director of industry relations and strategy at Esko, emphasised the necessity of these advancements for modern production environments.

“The pace of change in the industry is unprecedented,” said De Roeck. “These new technologies are essential for brands navigating tightening sustainability laws and the demand for digital product passports.”

The exhibition stand will feature a live demonstration of a connected workflow, tracing a package from its initial structural design through to 3D visualisation and final production. This includes the application of variable data and 2D codes, which are verified in real time to ensure consistency across primary and secondary packaging formats.

Beyond the hardware and software displays, De Roeck is scheduled to lead a session at the Interpack Spotlight Forum on 10 May, titled AI-Powered Packaging: Achieving First-Time-Right and Compliant Artwork. The presentation will explore how agentic AI can take proactive steps within the workflow to reduce waste and ensure quality at the earliest possible stage.

The move signals Esko's broader strategy to transition from traditional prepress tools toward a holistic sustainability intelligence model, helping businesses convert legislative disruptions into operational advantages.
