Sigma Packaging is a Vasai-based bottling plant manufacturer

Sigma Packaging Solutions highlighted its full-range capabilities in complete bottling and packaging lines, supported by an expanding manufacturing base in Vasai. Established in 2005, the company has built a strong presence across bottled water, beverages, dairy, liquor, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, supplying a mix of standard and custom-built systems.

Krish Solanki, engineer production planning, said Sigma’s offering spans the entire workflow  from blow moulding to rinsing, filling, capping and labelling supported by a portfolio of conveyors and downstream systems. Depending on a customer’s production floor layout, the team integrates air conveyors, steam conveyors, bent-chain conveyors, zig-zag conveyors and slat-chain conveyors, with the latter particularly suited for high-capacity lines operating within limited space.

For round bottles, Sigma supplies BOPP hotmelt rotary labellers in 9-, 12-, 18- and 24-head configurations, delivering 150–300 BPM. The systems include Panasonic servo-driven label feeding, automated height adjustment and low-glue-consumption mechanisms. The company also offers linear hotmelt labellers (120–200 BPM), self-adhesive labellers, tube labellers, pen labellers and solutions designed for triangular or non-round formats.

For brands using square bottles including several premium water players, Sigma provides self-adhesive sticker labelling systems, noting that BOPP wraparound labels cannot be applied to such geometries.
Beyond labelling, the company highlighted its rinser-filler-capper machines for packaged drinking water and CSD lines (30–300 BPM), 20-litre jar rinsing and filling systems, and premix carbonators for 1.5 KL–6 KL soda and soft-drink plants.

Solanki, who is a second-generation entering the business, said Sigma is receiving enquiries from both ends of the market: established beverage manufacturers seeking plant upgrades, and first-time entrepreneurs planning new brand launches. The company also works with OEM and contract manufacturing partners, supporting businesses that prefer outsourced production before investing in their own infrastructure.

Sigma Packaging Solutions currently operates two assembly plants in Vasai with plans to consolidate and expand within the same industrial belt. Vasai remains a preferred manufacturing zone due to its concentration of machinery suppliers and availability of experienced labour.

A key shift underway at Sigma is the transition from highly customised builds to a catalogue of standardised machine variants. According to the company, this move will help shorten production cycles, reduce design modifications, minimise inventory holding time and support faster dispatches, allowing Sigma to scale operations more effectively.
