On 24 April, IPAMA announced the launch of the new exhibition IntraPac

Packaging stands as the fifth largest sector in the Indian economy. The Indian consumer today has higher incomes and more diverse tastes, leading to increased demand for premium and specialised products.

Under a single roof, IntraPac brings together packaging machine manufacturers, Indian and foreign traders and dealers in different packaging products.

The growth of eCommerce and digitalisation has spurred the growth of the Indian consumer market, with more and more consumers shopping online for everything from groceries to fashion to electronics. This has opened up new opportunities for both domestic and international companies to reach Indian consumers.

The exhibition will showcase innovations in plastic packaging, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and rigid packaging. Also, the show will spotlight aseptic and tetra packaging, injection moulding, glass packaging, paper and flexible packaging.

Overall, automation and robotics have changed the landscape of filling, sealing and labelling operations. The visitors are expected to witness game-changers in traceability and logistics too.

In November, IPAMA formed a new team for the period 2023 to 2025. The newly elected team leads IPAMA with dedication and vision for the betterment of the printing, packaging, and allied machinery manufacturing industry in India.
